More About Me

Sonny Martinez: The Musical Realtor®

Sonny Martinez is a Texas native with a passion for service and integrity. Raised in Irving, Sonny learned the value of hard work early, starting full-time at McDonald’s at age 14. His drive led him to earn “Rookie of the Year” and over $4 million in sales in his first year as a real estate agent.

A retired Band Director and administrator with over 30 years in education, Sonny was named Teacher of the Year and ranked among the Top 20 educators for 19 years. His background sharpened his attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving—skills he now uses to guide clients through every step of the home-buying process.

Sonny provides hands-on, high-integrity support to all clients, encompassing first-time buyers, seasoned investors, and motivated sellers. He excels at guiding transactions, from strategic listing and aggressive negotiation for sellers to demystifying complex financing paths (including FHA and VA loans) for buyers. Known for his philosophy of client advocacy over commission, Sonny offers transparent, honest advice, guaranteeing every client feels respected, informed, and empowered throughout their journey.

He holds degrees from UT Arlington and SMU (4.0 GPA) and is active in professional organizations including the Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Bandmasters Association and the National Realtors Association.

Every transaction is dedicated to his son, Nate, a 2024 Eaton High School graduate, Special Olympics athlete and now a Student at Tarrant County Community College. Sonny’s mission is to build a legacy through service, trust, and care as well as advocating for Autism Awareness.
